Question about the bowlDo you freeze the bowl before making the ice cream? Or does it sit on the counter? I want to make a couple flavors after one another. Can you wash it out after one use and make another flavor without putting into the freezer first?
Hi Amy! KC Team here, Yes you do have to freeze the bowl before making the ice cream. You can wash it out and use it again, but the consistency of the ice cream will depend upon how cold your freezer bowl is and how long you leave the mixture in the bowl.
Live's up to its advertisingI bought this model several years ago, and sadly I dropped the lid one too many times. I have however sometimes entertained the idea of getting a second freezer container so I could make two batches of ice cream one right after another if family is coming. So since I broke the lid beyond repair I am going to buy a whole new unit, and should the motor die I will have a spare. It has made fantastic ice cream every time.
