- Every KitchenAid Product must meet the exacting quality standards of KitchenAid. A Refurb is any KitchenAid Product not meeting that exact standard. A Refurb may be a product not meeting KitchenAid's quality standard at the factory or one that has been sold perhaps used on a trial basis and then returned to KitchenAid. All products undergo a full inspection. If a mechanical defect is found the mixer is brought back to first quality standards. Refurbs contain only standard equipment and may have slight cosmetic imperfections. KitchenAid is so confident that the quality of these products meet the exacting standards of KitchenAid, that if your Refurb should fail within the first 6 months of ownership KitchenAid will arrange to deliver a replacement to your door free of charge then later return to pick up your failed product
